Bantry Dental offers treatments for all the family!
General dentistry is a dental branch dedicated to preventing, diagnosing, and treating a wide array of oral health issues.
General dentistry, typically providers oral healthcare for individuals of all ages, addressing a variety of dental needs.
Regular check-ups are essential to maintain good dental health.
At your check-up, the dentist will thoroughly examine your whole mouth with a focus on your teeth & gums, using magnification glasses to check for signs of decay or cracks, and do any necessary special tests including digital x-rays or photographs. We will address any concerns or questions you have about your oral health.
Don’t forget to bring the kids for their check-ups to prevent any problems & ensure a lifetime of healthy habits.
Hygienists are just as important as dentists when it comes to maintaining good dental health.
Our hygienists offer a range of services including routine scale & polish, air polishing, and bespoke periodontal treatment for those with gum disease.
Gum disease has a number of unpleasant symptoms including red, painful, swollen & bleeding gums. If left untreated, teeth can loosen & eventually fall out.
These are protective coatings that are placed on the biting surfaces of back teeth.
These teeth often have deep, sticky grooves which food can get trapped in.
We recommend fissure seals for children to help prevent tooth decay and maintain a healthy mouth.
Fillings are applied to teeth with cavities to stop decay from worsening & to restore the portion of the tooth damaged by decay.
We are a mercury-free clinic & only use tooth coloured white fillings to blend with the natural colour of your teeth. All our fillings are done under rubber dam isolation for optimum long term results and we ensure each filling is carefully handcrafted & sculpted according to the tooth shape.
The materials we use to restore teeth are all gold-standard and scientifically validated as being the best available internationally.
We understand that dental emergencies can happen & we do our utmost to treat dental emergencies in a timely fashion.
We do prioritise our existing patients when emergencies arise.
Root canal treatment is also called endodontics. It is required when your tooth gets an infection deep within the nerve. If left untreated, the pain worsens & an abscess can develop.
We understand no one wants to get a root canal but we ensure the best possible experience & use the best techniques to resolve the pain & remove the infection.
Signs you may need a root canal:
1. Severe Toothache
2. Extreme sensitivity to hot & cold drinks
3. Pain on biting hard food
4. Darkening of a tooth
5. A gum boil close to the painful tooth
6. Tenderness or swelling in the gums near the tooth
This is a last resort when other options are no longer possible.
We can assure you that if it is necessary, we do extractions with the patients comfort in mind & make the experience as quick and painless as possible.
