Principal Dentist
Dr. Claire O’Connor graduated from UCC in 2006. In 2010, she successfully completed the Membership exams at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. With a passion for minimally invasive, bio-inspired advanced adhesive dentistry, she pursued extensive training to enhance her expertise in this field including a 1 year Mastership in USA in 2021 & another 1 year Mimétika Programme in Europe in 2023.
She continues to regularly attend courses to be at the cutting edge of modern dentistry. Her clinical practice focuses on Advanced Biomimetic Restorative Dentistry with a particular emphasis on Rubber Dam Isolation.
She regularly runs hands-on courses & lectures for other dentists both in Ireland & internationally on the subject of Biomimetic Dentistry.
Dr. O’ Connor was recently invited to join the “Bio-Emulation” group as its Irish Ambassador, this is an elite global community of dentists who are at the forefront of their profession worldwide.
Claire is married to John & has three children. In her free time she enjoys sea swimming, paddle boarding, growing fruit & veg in her garden and reading.
What is Bio-Emulation?
The Bio-Emulation group is a global collective that consists of 100 selected members from around the world including dentists, dental technicians & dental researchers. Each member is selected based on their clinical excellence & dedication to further education & teaching.
We are a group that aims to raise the standard of dentistry by championing the use of modern, scientifically validated, minimally invasive protocols whilst always providing outstanding patient centred care. Bio-Emulation is based on many years of research in the field of Biomimetic Dentistry & its core concept is to restore teeth to full function & aesthetics by Biomimetically emulating nature. Dr. Claire O’Connor represents Ireland & works alongside the Bio-Emulation UK faction.
